Vending Opportunity: Multicultural conference at CSUS

The CSUS Bilingual/Multicultural Education Department, in co-sponsorship
with the CSUS Serna Center, the Center for California Studies, and Project
Citizen, announces its 16th annual Multicultural Education Conference. This
event provides a forum for university faculty, educators, and community
activists who are committed to social justice reform to join forces in their
efforts to promote multicultural education in K-12 schools throughout the
Sacramento region. The conference will open with a dynamic keynote address by
social justice educator *Dr. Brian Schultz, followed by a lively panel
discussion by candidates for California State Superintendent of Public
Instruction. 30 break-out sessions covering a range of educational topics will
be presented by faculty, teachers, and students.

The Bilingual Multicultural Education department invites you to be a
vendor at our conference. Vending tables will be set up in front of the first
floor ballroom doors inside the union, which gives you access and visibility to
conference participants throughout the day. The fee to participate is $30.00
and vendor space will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Each
vendor will receive 1 table per $30.00 received (additional tables may be
reserved for $30.00 each). If interested, please fill out the enclosed form and
include a check for $30.00 made out to the "Bilingual Multicultural Education
Department" in the reply envelope provided. The deadline for submission of this
form and check is October 15, 2009. A confirmation letter will be sent to you
by October 30, 2009 and will include parking details. In the event that we
cannot honor your request as a vendor due to lack of space, your application and
check will be promptly returned to you.

Finally, the Multicultural Conference is put on by the dedicated faculty
and staff of the Bilingual Multicultural Department at CSU Sacramento. If you
would like to donate an item as part of our silent auction, the proceeds of
which will go towards funding future Multicultural Conferences and
Bilingual/Multicultural Education scholarships, please identify the item, a
description of the item, and how much it is worth in the space provided. We
truly appreciate your support at the Multicultural Conference and look forward
to hearing from you soon.
