Vendor Spotlight: Grouse and Badger

Several years ago, my twin sister and I spent 3 weeks in the UK and through a unusual chain of events got into the antique business. A few years later, we stumbled upon a variation of the antique business, antique store liquidation. Besides the traditional ways of buying and selling antiques, we also buy small spaces within an antique store, entire estates and even entire antique stores (our largest was 20,000!). When you are in the antique liquidation business you get everything….the good, the bad and the ugly. And many times there is a LOT of ugly!

It’s because of our liquidation that we came upon the altered art jewelry business we now currently own. We started with the more traditional typewriter jewelry and have expanded over the years into watch face jewelry, steam punk, monopoly, full-watch and chatelaine style jewelry. As my sister always says, “we’re in the business of repurposing vintage and antiques into something new and beautiful”.

Our years in the antique and liquidation business allows us to buy in huge quantities and pass our savings on to our customers. We want to make altered art affordable and accessible to everyone. The quality of our products is second to none.
