Call for vendors: 2010 Vida de Oro Latino Folk Art Festival

May 15, 2010
1:00 to 7:00 p.m.
2354 Acacia Hall and outdoors (street closure) at the corner of Del Paso Blvd
and Forrest Street

Mina’s Treasures together with Sacramento City Councilmember Sandy Sheedy, the Del
Paso Boulevard Partnership, The Latino Journal/SacHispanic, and the Capitol City
Women of Sacramento (Education Foundation of the American G.I. Forum) will be
hosting the 2010 Vida de Oro Latino Folk Art Festival.

Scheduled for May 15, 2010 from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., the focus of the event is to highlight
regional fine Latino art, handmade crafts, and quality entertainment, where families can
learn, share and enjoy. Del Paso Boulevard is the ideal location because of its proximity
to downtown, major shopping centers and major thoroughfare access. Activities will be
indoors at 2354 Acacia Hall and outdoors (street closure) at the corner of Del Paso Blvd
and Forrest Street.

Last year, we had over 1,500 attendees, including many children, enjoyed the many
activities and continuous entertainment. This year we anticipate a 15 percent attendance
growth and are planning it as an open-air event.

Our team is comprised of individuals with decades of experience in event planning,
children’s education, marketing and the arts, and includes: Felipe Davalos, Gloria Torres,
James Barrera, Elaine Cummings, Adrian Perez and the wonderful staff of
Councilmember Sandy Sheedy.
