Check out the Piñata Festival at Southside Park.
Saturday, June 16th, 12pm
Southside Park at 6th & T Streets
From their Facebook page:
The Piñata Festival is an annual event that was created to celebrate art, culture and innovation through the design of piñatas. Local artists, businesses, non-profit organizations and members of the Northern California community come together to experience the iconic Piñata and its many artistic representations. Sponsored custom designed piñatas will line the street along with vendors featuring local and international food arts and crafts.
The Piñata Festival's most sought after activity is the Free Piñata workshops held throughout the day. Hundreds of people enjoy this yearly activity which raises donations for Sol Collective a community based partnership whose unique mission is to use art, education, and technology as a didactic medium to create mobilization and community empowerment.
The day’s venue includes live music, piñata display, vendors, food and art.
