2nd Annual Midtown Arts Festival


Mark your calendars for the Midtown Arts Festival! This FREE one-day event takes place Saturday, October 20, 2012 from Noon - 6:00pm as part of ARTober—Fall for the Arts, a Sacramento regional arts campaign.  The Midtown Arts Festival is a vibrant, artistically diverse outdoor festival anchored in the heart of Midtown on 20th Street between J and K. It covers a broad spectrum of creativity in Midtown and the Sacramento region, from the exquisite to the experimental, the visual to the performing, and every medium in-between.

Arts organizations, galleries, and performing arts groups of all sizes are invited to participate in this FREE family friendly event. An application is attached, and can also be viewed online by clicking here

The 2nd Annual Midtown Arts Festival will feature performance programs on two stages, artist and craft vendor booths, a Kid’s Arts Area, and interactive arts activities where attendees of all ages will have the opportunity to explore a variety of creative processes. Past performing artists included the Sacramento Ballet, B Street Theatre, Capital Stage, The Sacramento Philharmonic, The Sacramento Comedy Spot, Pamela Hayes Classical Ballet, and many more. In 2012, the Midtown Arts Festival will also feature UNTAPPED, a craft beer area highlighting brewers in the Sacramento and Northern California regions. In its first year the festival received rave reviews and exceeded attendance predictions, bringing in over 1,000 attendees. With the expanded scope of the event in 2012, MBA projects attendance of 3,000 attendees or more throughout the day.
