Local art gallery, Vox Sacramento, is hosting a Second Saturday art show to celebrate Día de los
Muertos on 10/13/12 from 4-9 pm.

Día de los Muertos, Spanish for Day of the Dead, is a traditional holiday celebrated throughout Mexico
and around the world in other cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends
to remember loved ones who have passed on. The celebration takes place on the 1st and 2nd of
November in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.

This show will feature bright traditional Mexican folk Day of the Dead art and crazy Zombie art. We will
also have an interactive altar, a traditional craft table and a S'mores Bar.

Confirmed artists for the show are as follows: LaLa Ortiz, Jill Jordan, Jill Allyn Stafford, Jenn Young,
Tony Allen, Kathi Briefer-Gose, Madeline Smith, Lana Bullard, Yoli Manzo, Miek Snique, Gloria
Gandy, Eric Goodman, Bri Marie, face painter Elysha-Blue and TJ Lev.

Admittance to the show is free, but donations are always welcome and appreciated!

VOX Sacramento exists to nurture the creative process in anyone, by promoting artistic
experimentation, providing the opportunity to collaborate, serving the community, and working in a

Please feel free to contact Lala Ortiza at lala@voxsac.com if you have any questions or need any
